And just like that the sun has disappeared again ☀️I was looking forward to a good thunderstorm ⛈ but we didn't get one here did you? I love how us Brits are so good at a weather moan! It was a bit too hot though wasn't it? I love a hot sunny day but even I will admit to finding it too much last night! It's all good if you have aircon, a pool 👌🏻nothing to do, oh and cocktails🍹but here it's just too sticky and full of grumpy kids that DON'T sleep! I just had to share this pic. One of the things I love about Spain is all the colours 🌈 especially where we stay against the whitewash buildings they always look so beautiful 😍😍I meant to go back and pick up a few of these little dishes and ran out of time 😫
Today's #ColourMyEveryDay is pottery and being from the potteries (Stoke on Trent) I have so many things I could post for this. When you're from the potteries you develop a habit of picking up pottery in restaurants to see where it's made and Im always happy to see when it's one of our own! This is my hand painted plate that I did a few years ago at the Emma Bridgwater studio. Well worth a visit if you're in the area. Sadly it didn't do to well in the firing process so I can't use it, it's purely decorative. #emmabridgewater#potteries
I love how on the upholstery training I'm doing every time you finish a piece you get to ring the bell and everyone cheers you. So I got to ring the bell this morning when I finished this classic footstool in brown and pink check with pink shallow buttoning. For sale ... though know it's going to be hard to let this one go. I just love her, so you need to give her a good home. I'm thinking she's called Maggie by the way 😁
The prompt for day 22 of #colourmyeveryday is "pottery". I wanted to share a favourite piece by my friend Lisa, the creative force behind @lisaseaurchin. I own a number of ceramic bowls, pendants & buttons made by Lisa - her feed is well worth checking out as she's currently taking part in #the100dayproject 💟
Ms Pink, being a fan of all things pink is rather smitten with this Swedish apartment floor. Apart from the obvious joy of a pink and red floor, the juxtaposition between the traditional parquet and the non traditional pink is stunning. The shelving is rather fabulous too.

I think from my first year on in art school people recognized there was a certain colour palet that was associated with me. It was partly from one of the garments I made, and also because of my wardrobe. 8 years later, I still love these soft powdery hues of pink and nude 🌸🐚
Trying out my new Promarkers here. I really like them alot, but unlike paint you can't really mix and create your own colours. So that's a minor downside, but I do love the range of colours they have! 🔶
Today is all about knots as I organize the handouts for the macrame plant hanger workshop next week. 😍 So I thought I would share some experimental knots that I found in my macrame folder. I'm sure I would struggle to make that triangular knot at the moment 😉 Is there anything you are struggling with at the moment?
Today's prompt for #colourmyeveryday is Pottery. I bought this 'Mussel Pot' from Annie's Ceramics whilst on holiday near Capetown in South Africa many years ago. We had lunch in the cafe next door to the studio who served their local mussels in these brightly coloured pots... so I just had to have one as a souvenir!
