If you're out at Apex Park this afternoon say hi to Jeff and other @colorowdies along with @jeffcorangers. We're teaming up with Jefferson County Open Space to help raise awareness and reiterate trail respect and ettiquette. With a growing number of trail users in Jefferson County we want to help get the message out to all user groups. It's important that we all understand trail ettiquette and park rules. Our public lands are our sanctuary and we want to help ensure everyone is safe and has an enjoyable experience. || @jeffcoopenspace
I did not grow up near the ocean, and still remember the excitement of seeing the water each time we would head for the coast.
Actually, we used to live further up the coast really close to the beach, but worked 80 hours a week in our business and very rarely even saw the water.
Now, I really try to make the effort every day if possible to see either the Clarence River or the ocean. Our new baby and the weather challenged that just recently, so I was so excited to ride on the beach this afternoon.
Just love the long beach here at Pippi's!
TABLES AND CHAIRLIFTS AND BERMS, OH MY
I've been hired by @welchvillage General Mgr @pzotalis to be their first mountain bike instructor when they open their 4 lift-served gravity flow trails in July.
I spent the morning there yesterday, getting a tour of the green-level trail ("Joy Ride") and the blue/black-level trail (Air Bear) being constructed by Tim Wegner, @bigbossbuck, @wjbartholomew and other crew members of Trail Source. Another blue-level trail and a black-level trail are in the works.
Just to give you an idea of what's being built: Air Bear alone has 22 jumps.
